Elli Fordyce Trio-Live Jazz-Hip In Yonkers

On September 10th at 7PM, back by popular demand, The Elli Fordyce Trio (with LoHud resident, Joe Tranchina on piano, and Eric Lemon on bass, plus special guests) will return for the fourth month in a row. Elli's vocals are described as a mix of swinging, sensitive (or both at once), in-the-moment, heart-felt, beautiful (and/or) hip standards, plus a few esoteric gems. But it's better to see for yourself.

Elli Fordyce and her 5-lb. Yorkie, Minty, moved from Battery Park City to Yonkers a year ago and they're delighted to again live near the Hudson in the Downtown Waterfront District and to appear locally.

Ron Masciandaro's The Pizza Place is located at 92 Main Street in Yonkers (10701). For Thursday-night jazz there is no cover/no minimum, and The Pizza Place is across-the-street from the Metro North Station. Ronnie, himself a jazz pianist, designed his shop around the piano in the window and he always creates a casual and hip vibe. His way-more-than-pizza fresh homemade food (BYOB, cash only) combines so well with the talent he presents each week, with Thursday-night jazz having quickly become a fixture in the LoHud area. http://www.thepizzaplaceinc.com/index2.htm.

For more about Elli, please check out http://www.ellifordyce.com/bio.html and http://cdbaby.com/cd/ellifordyce2 (which links to her first CD); Elli and Minty would both be delighted to hear from you.

Love this article and the graphics on the page. My mgr. will no doubt include it in the press pack she sends out widely, so you'll have more and different readers than you expected and it's the best promo for The Pizza Place in gig. So thank you very very much.

Best,

Elli
